It can. I've seen Reiki
do all kinds of different healings
for someone. Also, one thing I do for my gums everyday is take Sunflower Oil approx a tablespoon in the morning before I start my day. I leave the oil in my mouth for 20 min and swish it around my teeth. Then I spit it in a jar and close the lid. It's not good to spit the oil in a toilet or in a sink. It can clog up your drains. That's why I have a designated jar for my oil and when it gets half full, I throw it away. This process through osmosis pulls the toxins out of your mouth surrounding area in your body. I have enjoyed this because it keeps my gums very healthy! And I don't have teeth or gum problems. I do this everyday and my sunflower oil is organic. This is important too.

I'm not sure if this is really what you are looking for: I have no idea what heals the gums in general, if anything, but the lack of vitamin C causes scurvy, which severely damages the gums, resulting in the loss of teeth. So if someone ha scurvy, vitamin c will cause their gums to heal, if the damage is still reversible.
