Have you ever seen a bottle of it? If so, was the bubble of air at the bottom or the top? There's your answer.

(No, it does not float in air. Very small droplets of it can be temporarily suspended in air, but it will eventually settle out.)

What type of liquid has a close density to vegetable oil?

Rubbing alcohol is less dense, it will float on top ofvegetableoil.

Will objects float better in rubbing alcohol or water?

Objects will float better in rubbing alcohol than in water because rubbing alcohol has a lower density than water. This means that objects will displace less liquid in rubbing alcohol, making it easier for them to float.

Why do puris float on the oil while frying?

Puris are small, round, flat pieces of bread made of unleavened wheat flour. They float on the oil while frying because the hot oil makes them puff up and fill with air. Since air is lighter than oil, it makes the puris float.

Why would an object float in water but sink in rubbing alcohol?

An object will float in water if its density is less than that of water. Rubbing alcohol has a lower density than water, so an object that sinks in rubbing alcohol likely has a higher density than the rubbing alcohol. This difference in density causes the object to sink in rubbing alcohol but float in water.

Does iron float in oil?

Iron will float in oil in most cases. However, for iron to float in oil, it must have a density which is lower than the oil.

Does air float on water?

Water has a higher density than air. Anything that is less dense will float. The tube's covering is not enough to make it sink when filled with air. That is also the reason that oil and water don't mix.

Do Bones float in Oil?

Yes, bones tend to float in oil because the density of oil is lower than that of bones. This causes bones to be less dense than oil, allowing them to float on the surface of the oil.

Do oil sink or float in water?

Float.

Will the materials that float on water also float on oil?

It depends on the density of the materials and the type of oil. In general, materials that are less dense than oil will float on oil, while materials that are more dense than oil will sink. Oil has a lower density than water, so materials that float on water may or may not float on oil.

Will wood float or sink in corn oil?

Wood will float in corn oil because wood is less dense than oil, causing it to float. Oil is less dense than water, so anything less dense than oil will also float in oil.

Can a hydrogen filled balloon float in vacuum?

no it will not. because a balloon filled with hydrogen floats only because it is lighter than air so when there is a vacuum it will not float. it is like oil and water if there is no water oil is on the bottom if there is water it is on the top.

Will vinegar float in oil?

No. Oil will float on vinegar as vinegar has the same density as water.
