If you wanted to further analyze things, then we could look at similar events that happened to them. For starters in chapter 3 Naruto compliments Sakura's insecurity just like his father Minato complimented Kushina's insecurity. Further down the line we have 2 scenes that are drawn in almost the exact same style. Chapter 484 Page 16 Chapter 501 Page 13 Sakura and Kushina both went through a similar experience. Sakura was saved from certain death by Naruto. Her picture shows she's clearly disoriented from this. We then see a closeup for Naruto's eye looking over at the culprit. If you take the description above accurately describes the scene in chapter 501 if you replace Naruto with Minato and Sakura with Kushina. If you want to look even further then we can consider the new Road to Ninja movie (which had massive involvement with Masashi Kishimoto the mangaka of Naruto). SPOILER ALERT! In the RTN movie Sakura is kidnapped by a we later learn is controlled by Tobi, she is then chained up in a rocky place. Naruto then put's on the Hokage robe ,almost exactly like Minato did in Kushina's flashback, and goes to save Sakura. SPOILERS END!
Did Kushina help NaruSaku?
Well first of all, kushina is dead. She died after she sealed her own chakra into Naruto, and that was when he was first born. So she never knew who Sakura even was. So, no. Well, I think so. Kushina may not know Sakura, but she did say " Find a girl like your mother". I thought of Sakura right away there. So, in a way, it was at least a hint of NaruSaku(kind of).

After that, Kushina got to know Minato better, and after spending time with him, she grew fond of him and eventually fell in love with him. How Sakura is similar to Kushina is like this: Sakura hated Naruto at first and constantly belittled him, thinking he was annoying, stupid, and making her life miserable. Sakura wanted nothing to do with Naruto either. Sakura thought Naruto's dream to become Hokage was impossible for him to accomplish, even when put on the same team. Though, interesting enough, Naruto complemented her forehead(transformed as Sasuke), which she hated saying, "Your forehead is so large and charming. Makes me want to kiss it." Over time, Sakura got to know Naruto more, she acknowledged him and truly believes he can be Hokage someday. Sakura became increasingly more fond of him, and I think, like Kushina with Minato, fell in love with Naruto. Granted, they aren't exactly identical, but enough to make a comparision. They both are tomboys and have a temper, known to lash out at other people.
