Slick 50 can be used with any weight of oil. We have used it for years, and a very good product.Im however not to sure about the synthetic oils if you are using them.

Who told you it was the best? Every vehicle has a requirement for a certain weight oil. Today the most widely used weight for cars built in the last 5 years is 5w-20. But some require 10w-30 and others different weights. Diesels require a different weight than a gasoline engine. The bottom line is to use exactly what the manufacture recommends and nothing else.

Of course you can but when you do you are changing the viscosity of the oil. Your engine requires a certain weight or viscosity of oil. Use only the weight oil recommended by the manufacture.
