Unbolt the subframe. This will give you easy access to both the front and rear mounts.

I replaced the motor in my 1993 G20 with a motor from a Nissan Sentra from Japan.
It mounts to the bell housing of the trans. Jack the car up, (use secure jack stands for safety) On G20's it is tucked up so that replacing it is difficult. From underneath look behind the motor on the drivers side. Cute isn't it?
There are 4 motor mounts holding the engine and tranny. If you replace one, replace them all. I'm heading back to the shop tomorrow to put the 4th one on that I didnt think needed it. If you just replace 1 or two it may cause movement of the older ones, which can mean a rough idle.
replace motor mounts, force-clean fuel injectors, reset engine timing and base idle, may need new fuel injectors, replace spark plugs
i just did mine on 94 g20 and i had to remove battery and platee battery lays on...and its right there,,,,pain in the neck...lol
just a tip my 1988 Chevy g20 van i thought the blower was out but the ground wire on the motor is riveted to the housing and worked lose it would work sometimes but i took out the rivet and put a screw in real tight and it fixed it permanent
