In Hinduism, there's a karmic burden applied to suicides in most beliefs, that means you get to repeat the same thing again. And so on...
In some cases, it may be seen to solve problems, but every culture indicates that this irrevocable step is not to be taken lightly, and only considered after extended study and planning.
