In theory, yes. Magnesium deficiency causes muscle cramping/spasms. This is a known fact. However, I do not know of a study carrying this information over to tooth grinding. If you search the internet you can see that this has been predicted, but I haven't found solid proof.

So your answer is: it couldn't hurt. Try and see. 250mg may be enough per night, right before bed. Also consider melatonin.
