tequila is a liquor from Mexico, it is a distilled liquor making from fermented juice of agave plant ''mescal''. The natural sugar from the plant is fermented out. Mixto tequila is blend of agave product and sugar distillate. Make sure to buy a 100% agave product to limit the amount of sugar.
Yes. Agave nectar has sugar. When it is distilled into Tequila, much, but not all of the sugar is converted into alcohol.
All tequilas have agave in them. It's what makes them tequilas. If by sugar, you mean the white stuff on your kitchen table (sucrose), then the answer is, "It depends on the tequila." It's unusual to make an alcoholic beverage without the use of sugar in some form. Agave syrup is composed of a combination of fructose and glucose sugars. If it is 100% agave tequila, it has no sucrose in it. Premium tequilas are 100% agave. However, there are "lesser" brands of tequila that may legally contain up to 50% corn (fructose/glucose) and/or sugar cane (sucrose) sugars along with the agave syrup.

Not sure that vanilla tequilla is sold, but it's easy to make yourself. Just split a couple of vanilla pods and stick them in a bottle of tequilla, leave for about a month (shaking daily) then consume. Also works for vodka.
