I know that a 2003 model does.
no once a vti tranny goes , is about $4500.00 plus labor
For VTi variable transmission, only use DEX-CVT (P/N 22688912). 4 cylinder only I think For automatic transmission use only Saturn T-IV Fluid (P/N 22689186). 6 cylinder only I think. This information is from my 2003 2.2 Saturn Vue owner's manual Check your owner's manual index for 'Transmission fluid' to be sure. If you use the wrong fluid it can cause permanent damage to your transmission. If in doubt fork over the $ and let an authorized Saturn dealer do the work. If your dealer has closed call a GM dealer. Hope this helps
you dont you have to take it to the dealer
it means variable vavle timing or transmission ignition.
and automatic transmission does not require tranny fluid, as it is a "manual" and not automatic

as far as im aware nothing, it is just a sports marque variable transmission ____ ? (for i u search urseld)
Not that I know of but there should be. I've had problems with my 94 SL2 DOHC since the 30,000 mile mark. Dealer checked and said nothing wrong. At 40,000 miles (just out of warranty) they said they knew excactly what was wrong. Apparently there are MAJOR issues with the Saturn Automatic Transmissions!!!!!! --------------------------- There is nothing wrong with the S-series trannys IF taken proper care of. Many have had there original tranny's with no issues well over 200K when fluid and filter changes were done at the required interval (every 30K or less). There is a suit filed for the Vue's VTI transmissions if i remember correctly.
VSS Sensor maybe.
