The Jeep Wranglers & CJs have an almost unlimited choice of engines/transmissions. I saw someone shoe-horn a viper motor into a Wrangler! So you need to decide how you will use it then choose the engine/trans/Xfer case you need for how you plan to use it. Make sure you do good research BEFORE you start to avoid unforeseen pitfalls.
