twin port - two port - two ports per pot - 16v basically, but different spec to the eco 1.6 16v engines, so they named them twin port
There is no way to lock the crank on this engine. If you are replacing the timing belt, a special tool is available to lock the cams in position
Yes
According to the Gates Belt application chart this engine does not use a belt but instead uses a chain that normally lasts the life of the engine.
It is a chaion driven twin cam engine no belt to worry about
I am pretty sure its a 1973 1600 twin port engine hope that helps cheers G
If it is a dual port, meaning that the intake manifold ends spit into two openings on each side, then it is a 1600cc engine. They were introduced in 1971.
That's a twin port 1600 from between August 1970 and July 1973.
If it is the 3.4L Twin DOHC version, it is a monstor job. This motor has timing belt and timing chain. The entire front cover of the engine has to come off to replace both.
It is a twin overhead cam engine that uses 2 chains. It's a Mazda engine but Ford used chains while for Mazda cars they use belts.
Twin port means when you are going at lower revs you are only using half the Vs for instance accellerating hard you would probably use he whole 16v on yourcorsa a twin port only uses 8v instead using them all. Its better on fuel economy :)
in twin crew system probeller blade of port and stb is same or no?
