Take it apart or run it through a metal detector then you will have your answer.
Yes it has a V3 gearbox and it's mostly made of metal except for the bushings.

.45 auto, if, by "G36", you're referring to the Glock 36. 5.56x45 if you're referring to the Heckler & Koch G36 rifle.
Most airsoft guns have the motors in the grip (like AK, M4/M16, and G36 models) but some guns (mainly bulpups) have the motors entering the gearbox from the back.
the price is around $950 to $1400 it varies from each model G36 regular model but g36c or mg36 are most expensive
The G36 uses a proprietary magazine which isn't compatible with the STANAG-compatible C-drum magazines for rifles such as the AR-15. The G36 could use such a magazine, if such a magazine were manufactured for it. To the best of my knowledge, none are.
HK
Yes; as an assault rifle, the Heckler & Koch G36 has select fire capabilities, and can fire in both semi-automatic and fully-automatic modes.
Take it to a gunsmith.

No, the G36 gun is not available for purchase in Canada. It only recently became for sale in the civilian market in the USA. This is not a particularly civilian friendly gun.
The G36 is an assault rifle, meeting all of the criteria for such categorization:It fires an intermediate cartridgeIt feeds from detachable magazinesIt is capable of selective fire (semi or full auto)
preference. If you like the g36 style, go for the g608. If you like the mp5, go for the pdw. the FPS is better on the g36 though
