The Nintendo DSi has a built-in web browser.
neither
Skype is not available on the Nintendo DSi. The only game console that currently has Skype built in is the PSP.
yes,the iPod nano is just an iPod with game that are boring but the Nintendo dsi is a music player, game system,2 camera's, with over 1300 and counting. if you like small and good the ipods for you but if you like great and small then go with the dsi.
The DSi is primarily a console, it was built to play games. While it does have a browser and certain online capabilities, they cannot be compared to the online functionality of a regular PC or an iPod Touch, the DSi is inferior in these regards as the browser can never be updated and lacks flash and javascript support.
The Nintendo DSi does indeed have a built in alarm clock. It is accessible from the System Settings Icon

The Nintendo DSi does not use either Linux or a Unix variant, such as Solaris. It uses a custom firmware built in-house by Nintendo.
