In my opinion yes but you might no think so you just load your music on a SD card and put it in the dsi and you can speed up slow down and edit your music or plug in headphones slip in in your pocket and listen but if your only using it for a music player not a camera internet and ds then its not worth it get a iPod or Zoon.
