Absolutely, but it isn't polite to discuss it. Since the 1950's the disparity in income levels has widened considerably. At the current rate of consolidation of income in the top 2% of households, the US will soon just have a class of dynastic wealth, entrpreneurs at the top. Everyone else will be lulled into putting up with this corrupt system through lotteries and the constant media induced delusion that anyone can make it into the top 2%. Unfortunately there is now more social class mobility in Canada, Sweden, Germany and France than there is now in the US.
