The air is always pushing down on you, just slightly more under high pressure. You don't notice it because we've evolved to counter this downward force with an outward force of our own.

What is a low-pressure system and what is a high-pressure system?

The difference is that Low air pressure has less air molecules pushing down in one area and high air pressure has more air molecules pushing down in one area.

How does drinking through a straw show that fluids flow from areas of high pressure to areas of low pressure?

Sucking on the straw reduces the air pressure inside it. This allows 'natural' air pressure to push down on the liquid in the container, causing it to rise up the straw..

What is injected into high pressure air in a jet?

Answer this question… What is injected into high pressure air

Why air move from low to high air pressure?

In areas of high pressure the air is being squeezed more by the air above it than it is in areas of lower pressure. So the air will tend to get pushed away from the high pressure area.

What is air moves from a point at which air pressure?

high pressure to low pressure

What does high air pressure?

air pressure is the amount of air pushing down on you and high pressure is air that rises.

How are kites similar to birds?

They have wings that are angled that push air coming at it down to create a high pressure below the wing and a low pressure above it so it rises.

How does a rubber sucker pad used to lift glass sheet work?

When you push down the pad it forces the air out from underneath the pad. as a result, the air pressure inside the pad is less than the air pressure outside the pad. So the air pressure outside pushes down on the pad.

Air pressure is the weight of air pressing down on the earth it is measured by a barometer what kind of weather does high pressure usually bring?

humidity

How is measured air pressure?

Air pressure is the measure of the force with which air molecules push on a surface.

What does low pressure mean?

Low pressure is when air pressure is low helps form clouds.

What is the high and low pressure?

meteorology and weather. In high pressure the air presses down with more force than usual. This usually means air is sinking. High pressure systems typically bring calm, clear weather. In low pressure air presses down with less force than usual. This most often indicates rising air. Low pressure systems often bring cloudy or stormy weather.

What measures the forces that air molecules used to push on the surface?

The measure of the force with which air molecules push on a surface is air pressure. An instrument that is used to measure air pressure is a barometer.
