For a typical backyard mechanic, yes on the vehicle. It can be bench tested on a machine like the one many auto parts stores have. The older alternators that could be disassembled have parts that can be individually tested with a multimeter.
And what car theory test are you referring to?
Test Driving Car. Or TDC.
Car would either have to be running or alternator removed for bench test
Probably indicates an undercharge condition. Check the alternetor output voltage and check for good connections..
To test drive a Pilot car, one should visit the local car dealership or car garage. Alternatively, book a test drive experience on the official Honda webpage.

Wind tunnel test
To test drive a car means to take a car for a drive and see if you like the way it handles the road or just to see if you like the car :)
i went to www.mvreader.com/multiview/dayco/graphics/rtdiag/blg.jpg and got the diagram. Release the tension on the idler pulley in the rear of the motor spin the nut in the center like you were tightening, and the pressure will be released from the serpentine belt. three 15mm bolts on the top of the alternetor will loosen it. 10mm nut on alternetor and a harness are all that hold it on. I did it in about 20 min
easiest way would be to take it to your local car parst shop and have them test it. I think it is free
If you are asking this question then your car probably needs an emission test
any car needed a test if u trust the seller then its ok for it
