yes
The Army does not require a high school diploma or GED to enlist, but most of the other branches of service do.
You have to have atleast a GED or high school diploma to join the military. But the Army National Guard has a program called 'Patriot Acedemy' where you can go and get your GED to join. In the National Guard, you can either work part-time, like most of the National Guard soldiers, or you can apply to work full time with the Guard. It would be just like being an active duty soldier except they cant move you to different bases. Check out the National Guard at www.nationalguard.com. Then search for 'patriot acedemy' I hope you get to join. The service needs a few good (wo)men

A GED or High School diploma is required to enlist. At one time, many people (including me) DID earn their GED while serving in the military.
No, the military will not "give" you a GED, you must earn it. However if you have been accepted into military service, depending on the requirements at time of enlistment, you may have to complete the GED requirements within your first year on active duty service or within you first term of enlistment. In order to qualify for MGIB benefits, you must possess at minimum a GED.
Yes as long as your parents have signed. I was in the Navy and knew a few 17 year olds. It all depends on when your training starts. It depends. you will need parental consent and a high school diploma or GED. IF you are still in high school, then you will have to graduate. Then you will leave. in the army national guard, you can be in the army and still be in school and get paid for weekend drills. - Army Recruiter
most of the time lilly you have to have a diploma to join the us navy a ged will get you to the marines or army but not navy or air force or coast guard
To enter the US Air Force regardless of component (Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard) you will need either a high school dimploma or GED.
You'd need a high school diploma or GED, and you would attend the same Initial Entry Training as members of the Regular Army and Army Reserve attend (unless you're in the Air National Guard, then your training would be through the Air Force).
All. Army is easiest, then marines/Navy. Coast Guard and Air Force are equally more selective. With a GED, The USMC, Navy and Army will all accept her. The Air Force sometimes does, they do a case by case scenario and it's a toss up if she will get in or not.
The Coast Guard states that you do need a high school diploma, but that GED's are accepted under special circumstances. The Coast Guard is the smallest branch therefore the most competitive but it is possible.
No. However, with the various state sponsored programmes available to help you get your GED, there really is no need for the Army to provide this service. Check with your local community college for more information on this.
