Answer 1
No. The Bible condemns killing your wife.
Murder is prohibited in the Bible quite clearly in the 6th Commandment. (Exodus 20:13). According to the Bible, if your wife committed adultery, she and the adulterer would be publicly stoned after the case had been heard by a judge (i.e. capital punishment). (Leviticus 20:10).
It also explains that if a man finds his wife displeasing he is supposed to write her a certificate of divorce to divorce her. (Deuteronomy 24:1). This gives clear alternative to killing. Christians argue that this command is overturned by Paul's message that divorce is no longer viable even if the marital partner has vastly different beliefs. (1 Corinthians 7:10-14).
Answer 2
Yes. As per usual, the Bible is contradictory.
Plenty of Murder nods can be found in the link below where it is said that: "The act of murder is rampant in the Bible. In much of the Bible, especially the Old Testament, there are laws that command that people be killed for absurd reasons such as working on the Sabbath, being gay, cursing your parents, or not being a virgin on your wedding night." As specifically concerns killing your wife, there are three reasons that the Bible could order you to do that: (1) If she converts to a polytheistic religion, (2) If she is found to be adulterous, (3) She is not a virgin on her wedding night and the groom expected her to be. All three of these reasons are absurd. Refer to link below.
Answer 3
