Homeostasis is another word for stable. for the body, it doesn't really help the body, it's a state your body can be in. being in this state helps you because you are calm and not having high blood pressure because of a situation, other than a more medical issue. it also keeps your heart rate down. normally your body is in homeostasis. when your body isn't, you are usually really anxious about something or are afraid.
