For sure, you as the bride should pick the style to match your desired theme or your wedding gown...... you may consider the likings of the bridesmaids aswell since after all they'd be wearing them..... I think the best would be for you to discuss with your bridesmaids & them come to a finalized decision about which style you'd be using...... when it comes to the costs- it all depends on certain factors.... such as, how close your relationship with the bridemaids, how much your budget is & your wishes....... if you are very close to your bridemaids & have a good mutual understanding, then I guess the best would be to let them pay for their own dresses (unless you want to give them on your cost as a present in appreciation of their help or as a memory token)..... also, if you have many limitations on your budget, you may best get the cost born by the bridesmaids.....

After all, its your day & you can do all the way you like...... I always believe that when it comes to a wedding, you dont have rights or wrongs which are written down, its just that everything happens the way bride & the groom wishes it to be............

hope all the planning will work out well & hope you have a fabulous wedding!

How to Find Inexpensive Bridesmaid Dresses?

Your wedding date is set and you’ve found the perfect wedding dress. Now you have to choose bridesmaid dresses for your bridesmaids. If you’re like most brides, you want your bridesmaids to wear dresses that are beautiful and complement your own wedding gown. On the other hand, some bridesmaids are unable to pay a large amount of money for a dress they may never wear again. Fortunately, there are ways to find inexpensive bridesmaid dresses that will make your friends look lovely on your special day. When seeking affordable bridesmaid dresses, you should consider renting dresses for your bridesmaids. Some formal wear stores offer this service to brides and bridesmaids on a tight budget. Whether you visit a brick and mortar store or an online bridal store, you can rent fashionable, elegant dresses that fit the style of any wedding. If your bridesmaids would prefer to buy their dresses, you can purchase bridesmaid gowns from discount bridal stores. These types of stores offer bridesmaid dresses in a variety of sizes and styles for reasonable prices. If you decide to purchase from an online retailer, you will need to factor shipping prices in addition to the price of the gowns. Another way to find inexpensive bridesmaid dresses is to allow your bridesmaids to wear different formal gowns. These dresses can be purchased at a high-end consignment store that stocks formal dresses. While some brides want their bridesmaids to wear the same gown style, other brides are more flexible and will not have a problem with this arrangement. If you can find an inexpensive seamstress or have a family member that knows how to sew, you can have your bridesmaid dresses created by the seamstress. After the bride chooses a dress pattern, the bridesmaid can purchase material chosen by the bride from a fabric store. The seamstress can then create the dresses. Depending on the seamstress’s rates, this may be an affordable option for bridesmaids on a tight budget.

Can mother of groom and mother of bride wear long when bridesmaids wear short?

There is absolutely no reasons to not to! As long as your dress is not similar colour or style to the bridesmaid (and of course not white) then I think it should be fine. However, I think you have to in someway make it clear that you are the mother of the bride and not one of the bridesmaid - otherwise, a) the bridesmaid might not be happy thinking that they might not be valued and b) You played a big part in the Bride and the Groom's lives, you want to stand out and let people congratulate you on having a beautiful daughter

Is there photos of Rachel Monica's bridesmaids dresses when Phoebe got married on Friends?

Finding a Bridesmaid Dress with a Reasonable Price Tag?

A woman who is asked to be a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding is often required to pay for the dress herself. As much as she loves her friend, she may be worried about finding a fairly priced, attractive bridesmaid's dress. Luckily, there are some places to find a bridesmaid's dress with a reasonable price tag. A woman may want to search a secondhand clothing store for bridesmaids dresses. In many cases, a secondhand store has a section that displays both wedding and bridesmaids dresses. It's likely that the bridesmaids dresses will be in excellent condition because most were only worn once. Furthermore, with the growing popularity of secondhand clothing shops many owners accept only quality clothing pieces for the store's inventory. A woman who finds a reasonably priced bridesmaid's dress at a secondhand clothing store should have it cleaned and pressed for the ceremony. She may even consider taking it back to a secondhand store to sell it after her friend's big day. A woman in the market for an inexpensive, attractive bridesmaid's dress may want to check with friends or coworkers who are approximately her size. In many instances, after a woman participates as a bridesmaid in a friend or family member's wedding she simply puts the dress in a closet. A friend or coworker may be looking for a chance to sell the bridesmaid's dress in order to get a little of her money back. A woman who spreads the word that she needs an inexpensive bridesmaid's dress may receive some helpful feedback. A discount bridal shop is another avenue for a woman looking for a reasonably priced bridesmaid's dress. A discount bridal shop likely has a large selection of bridesmaids dresses in a variety of sizes. A woman may try on several different styles and colors to see what suits her as well as what would fit with the bride's color scheme. In addition, if the bride wanted all of the bridesmaids to wear the same dress a discount bridal shop may carry several of one particular style. A woman will likely enjoy her bridesmaid's dress more if she knows she got the best deal possible.

Creative Planning for Bridesmaid and Flower Girl Dresses?

One of the most special parts of wedding planning for the bride is to honor close friends and relatives by asking them to serve as attendants. Then comes the fun of selecting bridesmaid dresses and a special flower girl dress. A flower girl is usually between the ages of three and seven. There are two approaches to dressing the flower girl. One is to dress her in a white dress, perhaps even a miniature of the wedding gown. She may wear a flower wreath in her hair and a sash that matches the bridesmaid’s dresses. Another approach is to coordinate the flower girl with the other attendants in an age-appropriate style of similar color and fabric. The flower girl dress should not be purchased too far in advance of the wedding, since flower girls are at an age where rapid growth is possible at any time. Aim to have the dress in hand about six to twelve weeks before the wedding to allow time for alterations. Bridesmaids are usually sixteen or older. Girls fifteen and younger, but too mature to be flower girls, may serve as junior bridesmaids. Bridal shops are making it easier than ever to outfit the various sizes and shapes in a wedding party, offering junior bridesmaid styles, petites, and queen sizes. Separate tops and skirts are also available to help bridesmaids get a proper fit with fewer alterations. All attendants may wear identical dresses, but it is becoming more popular for the bride to designate a color, then let the bridesmaids each select a style from among several options at a bridal salon. If attendants vary greatly in size and shape, this option makes for happier and prettier attendants than the one-size-fits-all approach. Still another option is to choose a dress style and allow bridesmaids to select from several coordinating colors. Jewel tones, pastels, or shades and tints of one color all make a pleasing picture. Choosing dresses should be a fun experience among best friends. With creativity, compromise, and a helpful consultant, a bride should be able to outfit her party in dresses that everyone will like.

Can the mother of the groom and the mother of the bride wear the same color?

* The mother of the bride and the mother of the groom do not wear the same outfit. Mothers will wear dresses and they may be different in fashion and color as long as the color of the dress stays within the guidelines of the colors the bride has chosen for her wedding: Example: If the bride's Maid of Honor and Bridesmaids have long or short dresses in a midnight blue then the mothers could wear soft shell pinks; soft blues, etc. The bride or grooms mothers should never wear white or off white. One mother may want to wear a short dress while the other mother may prefer a longer dress. If you can and your Maid of Honor or Bridesmaids are in long dresses see if you can't get your mother and future mother-in-law to wear a long dress as well as it looks better in wedding pictures, but if one refuses it's not worth a possible argument. You can take your Maid of Honor with you and take both mothers to a wedding shop and have a say in what you would like as far as style, but go easy on the moms and realize they may have a good reason for choosing a certain dress to match their body type. If it is a matter of money for one or both of the mothers then rent the dresses.

Where could mother of the bride dresses be purchased from?

Bridal boutiques, formal wear section of departments stores, and now online stores. Online stores usually have the best selections with more brands and range of sizes and styles. Check the return policy of all the stores though as they all differ widely due to the nature of the dresses, being special occasions and they have a more restrictive return policy.

Keep the length modest (an inch above the knee - full length) The style should fit you but still be elegant (you're not going for the whole night-club look) The bride should have an idea about colours keep it simple but gorgeous Stay Safe, look Fab :)

I am having a wedding in couple years and my wedding dress is white and camouflage what color would look good for the braid maid to wear?

I have seen bridesmaids wear royal blue, each dress in the style they choose. If you have a spring or summer wedding, perhaps a pastel will be nice. However, with a pastel, you need to check and see what colors look good on your bridesmaids so they do not fade out.

Choosing an Adorable Dress for Your Flower Girl?

If anyone could steal the show from the bride on her wedding day it would probably be an adorable, prettily dressed flower girl. The flower girl may be a relative of either the bride or groom and is customarily between three and eight years old. Any fancy dress in white or pastel would be suitable for a flower girl's dress. The dress may be long or short depending on the formality of the wedding. However, the bride may want to coordinate the flower girl's dress with the rest of the wedding party. In this case, the fabric and color can match or complement the bridesmaids' dresses. Keep in mind the age of the child when choosing a color, fabric or style. For example, bridesmaids' dresses may be deep colored velvets in a formal length. The flower girl's dress could be a pastel chiffon or satin with a gathered skirt, cap sleeves and a velvet sash in the bridesmaids' colors. Keep in mind the part the flower girl will play in the wedding when deciding on a flower girl's dress. Traditionally, the flower girl precedes the bride down the aisle sprinkling flower petals from a small basket. According to custom, rose petals are strewn in the bride's path assuring her a 'rosy' future. When the flower girl reaches the altar, she stands with the other attendants throughout the ceremony. The dress should be comfortable and easy to walk in. Fabrics should not be stiff or scratchy nor easily wrinkled. Velveteen, satin and organza are good all around choices. For summer weddings batiste, dotted Swiss, eyelet or lace can make a lovely and attractive dress for that special little girl. A fairly new tradition is to dress the flower girl in a miniature version of the bride's dress. The child's dress, however, should be minus the veil and train. The flower girl is the one exception to the rule that only the bride wears white. The miniature bride's dress is customarily white; however, the traditional flower girl's dress can be white or any bright or pastel color. An adorably attired flower girl can add a touch of charm and innocence to the wedding ceremony.
