How long before a wedding do you need to get your wedding rings?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Ideally, it's recommended to purchase your wedding rings at least 2 to 3 months before your wedding date. This timeframe allows for various considerations:

Selection Process: It might take some time to find the perfect wedding rings that match your style, budget, and preferences.

Sizing and Adjustments: After selecting your rings, you may need time for sizing and any necessary adjustments to ensure they fit comfortably.

Customization: If you're opting for custom-made rings, it could take additional time for design consultations, production, and alterations.

Shipping and Delivery: If you're ordering rings online or from a jeweler, you want to account for shipping time, especially if there are any unexpected delays.

Engraving: If you plan to have your rings engraved with special messages or dates, this process may take some time depending on the jeweler's workload.

By allowing sufficient time before your wedding, you'll have peace of mind knowing that your wedding rings are ready and perfect for your special day.

It is traditional for the bride not to be involved in planning her own bridal shower. Typically, the maid of honor and bridesmaids take on the responsibility of organizing the shower as a special surprise for the bride. However, if the bride wishes to be involved in the planning process, it is ultimately up to her and her personal preferences.

Not in many place, but copies of diplomas in training of some sort helps to put prospective clients at easy. There are programs available to help a person interested in this field to learn what is necessary. Experience and expertize go hand in hand like most things. She never ceases to amaze me how she remembers even the tiniest detail from first meeting of a couple or clients. Even how to talk to a pushy Mother....

What are the requirements or qualifications necessary to become a wedding planner?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

== == As a hotel manager, I've worked with scores of Wedding Planners over the years and I'd say connections are more important than education. There is no recognized accreditation or education for becoming a Planner. Certainly a B.A. in Communications or Business would be helpful, but most Wedding Planners draw customers from their social network. It helps to have an upper middle class background, since that's the strata most clients belong to. An apprenticeship with an established meeting planner would be useful, as well. More input: * More and more people are becoming interested in becoming Wedding Planners, and consequently - if there is greater competition for the role - the greater the need for a formal qualification. People using this kind of service are paying good money, and if they check your credentials, they will want to know that you are experienced, qualified or both. A recognized Certificate will certainly help! Wedding Planning companies, offer hands on courses to teach people the role of a wedding planner and coordinator. Wedding Planning training can also be done as a distance learning course. Running a wedding planning business or working in one, is much more than just understanding the wedding market. You need good business knowledge, understanding of marketing, finance, book-keeping, relationship management and a drive and ambition that you cannot be taught. Basic Business Management courses will teach you a large amount of what you need to know, and then just do a one day or two day course specializing in Wedding Planning and Coordination.

How much money does a wedding planner earn?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

In general, a wedding planner charges between $2,000 and $3,000 per wedding. However, because most wedding planners are self-employed, all the business costs associated with running your own business must come out of the fee. There are very few wedding planners who have employees. If you want to find out more about the day to day work, you can contact a wedding planner in your area and ask about doing volunteer work as a trainee.

How much does it cost to cater a wedding with 500 people?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Really depends on the catering company you go with as well as the type of food(s) you order. Do you want a full-course meal, desserts, appetizers, buffet style, etc? Prices can vary significantly, usually somewhere in the neighborhood of $30/50 per person. So multiply that by 150 and you might be looking at $4,500 - $7,500.

How many cans of soda for 200 guests at a wedding reception if there will be bottled water and kegs of beer too?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

It depends on how much beer those 200 people are willing to drink. But my guess is 40.

It's probably too late for you now, but 40 kegs would probably serve a small town. 1 keg contains ~15.5 gallons of beer. That's about 165 12oz cans of beer. Take a look at your guy to girl ratio. Guys will drink more than girls and you can maybe assume 1-2 beers per guy and 0-1 per girl each hour. This is also assuming your friends are all alcoholics...

Let's just assume an even split of 100 guys and 100 girls at a 4 hour party. Worst case scenario is you go through about 300 beers/hour for 4 hours. That's 1200 beers for this wicked awesome party. 1200/165 = 7 kegs. I have never in my life seen a party go through that many kegs.

That's an awful lot of beer that will cost a small fortune. I personally would not buy any more than 4-5 kegs. There are a lot of things you can't account for such as pre-gamers, beer haters, waiting lines and people that need to drive.

2 maybe 3 if this is a wedding reception think about the grooms buddies, are they a bunch of animals and still single, or are they a bunch of pompous a**holes that talk a big game but in actuality if their gf or wife sees the pink isod wearing douche bag anywhere near the keg she'll kick his a**.

What is the significance of wine toasting during wedding?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

What about the origin of "toasting"? As drink goes, wine has always been central to the wedding, even mentioned in the Bible. The first recorded toast was given at a Saxony feast in 450A.D. by a woman who became a bride herself before the end of the evening.

British King Vortigern was so moved by the sentiment-- a simple "Lord King, be of health," offered by Rowena, daughter of the Saxony leader Hengist, that he proceeded to make passionate love to her. Intoxicated by the drink, possible love, and definitely greed, he then bargained with Hengist for her hand. A deal was arranged whereby Hengist received the province of Kent in exchange for her hand. Vortigern and Rowena were married that same evening. From that time forth, "to life, to health, to love," has been a part of the toasting tradition, as glass touches glass and a chorus of clinks heralds a festive time for all.

Once it literally involved scorched bread. In the days when wine was regularly decanted, it left much more sediment than our modern bottles do. So the French cleverly placed a piece of toast in the bottom of the cup to absorb the dregs.

A competent toaster drank everything to get to the toast at the bottom because decorum dictated that one drain the glass.

So good wishes were often accompanied with the dictum, "Bottoms up!" Today the good wishes remain but happily the actual soggy toast has disappeared. And, clinking of glasses after a toast scares away the devil who is repelled by the noise.

How do you know that you are ready to get married at age 16 or 18?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

I can tell you right now you are not ready. IF you have to ask then you are not.... You still have so much ahead of you, that to tie yourself down to that big of a committment would be silly. If you and this other person want to do the right thing, then maintain the relationship you have now, plan for a future together and both of you should finish high school and go to college and get out in the world and experience life. You can still do this together and you will find if you are meant to be together forever through all of the trials and tribulations it takes to keep yourselfs on the right path now.....
