Yes
No, it is not possible to jump start a car with the positive cable connected first and the negative cable connected second. The correct order is to connect the positive cable first and then the negative cable.
you have to install some disk. Plug it in with the cable that it came with. Then this thing should come up. then if it dosent start automaticly. press the button on the cable that is pluged into your phone. Then it should start to sync. Hope i was helpfull.
The battery post positive terminal is where you connect the positive cable. Connect the negative cable to anyplace on the engine or chassis. Connect positive first and remove it last.
You don't, you connect to the battery from the battery of another car. Use the positive cable to connect the two positive electrodes and the negative to connect the two negative electrodes.
there is a positive battery post under the hood of the car that you use for your positive cable hook-up and then connect your negative cable to any metal portion on the engine.
To jump start a car, first connect the red positive cable to the positive terminal of the dead battery, then connect the other end of the red cable to the positive terminal of the working battery. Next, connect the black negative cable to the negative terminal of the working battery, and finally connect the other end of the black cable to a metal surface on the car with the dead battery, away from the battery. Start the working car and let it run for a few minutes before attempting to start the dead car. The red cable should be connected first.
After removing the positive and negative cable, follow the negative cable to where it's grounded to the wheel well. Remove the end of the cable with the wrench. Track the positive cable to its connection on the driver's side of the engine and remove it with the wrench. Now, attach the new positive cable first and install the negative cable last and start the car to ensure that the connections are working on your Ford Escort.
to find starter...start at positive post on battery, follow big cable to end of cable........at which pointwill connect to starter
In a DC circuit it is positive. In a 220v ac circuit it's one of the two positive (hot) lines.
If the engine turns over but will not start your battery cable is NOT the problem. Even if it stated after reattaching the cable. Something else was the problem. If the engine will not turn over then the cable might be your problem. If you took off the cable and then reattached it and then the engine turned over then your cable was not making a good connection with the battery terminal and by reattaching it you improved the connection.
1. Connect one end of the positive cable to the "dead" or low battery positive post. 2. Connect the opposite end of the positive cable to the positive post of the battery being used for jump starting. 3. Connect one end of the negative cable to the negative post of the battery being used to jump start. 4. Connect the opposite end of the negative cable to a good ground on the "disabled" vehicle. Start the "good" vehicle and allow the "dead" battery to charge for 3-5 minutes. Start the "disabled" vehicle. If it doesn't start, allow to charge longer, then re-try. After the "disabled" vehcile starts, remove the cables in reverse order of connecting.
Clean or replace the cable before you end up getting stranded; you have a bad connection. Mark
