Yes, but not the yawning chasms seen in movies. The shifting of adjacent rock structures causes earthquakes, and when they slide the rocks don't line up anymore, leaving jagged openings that are sometimes very deep. But they are rarely wide enough to fall into, which is much more a threat in ice crevasses than in rocks.
