No, not always.
Yes, when the engine heats up or the AC is turned on.
TO COOL IT DOWN
Yes, if it is a 12 volt DC fan.
The fan turns on when you turn your car off so that the engine will cool down faster. It should only run for a few minutes, 10 max. But your fan also runs when your car is on not just when it is turned off.
fuse, wiring.... how long do u let it run before turning it off??..I would look to the fan relay next. also the electric fan thermostat if the car has one
umm i don't know of any car that has a manual fan switch the only reason someone would put one in is if the fan didn't come on by itselfAnswerI think those cars like any other camaro that has an electric fan has to turn on by it self. When the car warms up the fan should turn on by it self so the car don't over heat. If the switch looks out of place or not from there well quess what its not from there. I had a camaro that to turn on the fan I always had to have the AC on... go figure.... But it was wrong someone rig it like that they had some problems with the fan not wanting to turn on so to go around the problem many people just put a switch inside but its no big deal. So the awnser is NO your car shouldn't have a switch. "Is it a problem no the car will be fine no big deal as long as you turn it on every time!"
get in the car when it is cold, turn on the ac, then check under the hood. the fan that is not spinning when the car is cold is the cooling fan
It's probably the catalytic converter fan; not the a/c fan.
turn the engine off try turning the fan if it doesnt turn the clutch on the fan is bad it
The fan is almost always on when you turn on the vehicle because it also helps keep the engine and other parts cooler
if its not turning on then its broken.
Loose or glazed fan belt?
