There's been a myth for years that the full moon affects the mental health of Earthlings. And, strangely enough, large metro hospitals have records that, indeed, people by the hordes show up in their hospitals at the full moon. There is no physical or astronomecal evidence to support such a theory.
There has long been another theory, down through the ages, that some men change into wolfmen at the full moon, run amok, and savagely kill innocent people. There has never been a recorded incident of a wolfman manfesting himself, moon or no moon.

∙ 10y agoIt all depends on what you believe. I personally don't think it does. To me that sounds more like something that would come out of a fictional movie. And, so far (to my knowledge, at least) no one has proven that to be true.

There is controversy over the moon affecting people and this controversy just came up recently. Scientists seem to think the full moon does not affect people in general, but many disagree with their findings. No, we don't turn into werewolves and howl. I worked at a Mental Hospital for a year and when there was a full moon we were ordered to "lock down." I witnessed people on some occasions becoming hyper, mood changes, deeper depression or the opposite. If the moon can change the tides then why not humans. There has been studies that during a full moon even normal couples can argue or be in a down mood. The moon doesn't affect everyone in the same way.
