Does the gameboy's screen hurt your eyes?

well i want it for my birthday but i am 12 and i don't want it to hurt eyes but there are so many rumors so i think you are better off waiting to see what happens i would say 12 and over can play it

Only to a tiny degree if you don't use it right for way too long. The two images can make your eyes cross if you try to look at them from certain angles. This won't affect you unless you keep it this way for hours. Children under the age of 6 are strongly advised not to use the 3D at all.

It varies person to person. I have had no trouble with it after many hours of playing, but a few people get headaches. Try it out for yourself, and make sure you try adjusting the 3D slider if it isn't comfortable at first - don't just keep it all the way up all the time!

It's won't make you blind but it can potentially damage your eyes and sometimes even permanently.

In a press conference, Nintendo said that the 3D mode on a 3DS should not be used by children under 7 and even if, do not use 3D mode for more than 30 minutes.

Any longer can lead to eye strain, eye damage, or worse.

No not really, if you play with a DSi for around two hours strait then I get eye strain. The 3DS gives you Eye strain twice as fast as a DSi, but once again its all up to how the game developers use it.

All game companys give you a warning to have a break every hour but on the 3DS with 3D on the its half.

After a day I bought the 3DS at launch day i had no eye strain problems.

If you have the 3D off with the 3DS then you get eye strain as long as you play games on any console

I never play games with 3D anymore, the 3D is just an add on i never use. if you have a problem with the 3D Just turn it off!

Forget about the 3D theres lots of things that makes the 3DS better then the DSi

1. Much better graphics, equivalent to the gamecube and in some reports as good as the Wii.
2. Brilliant games
3. Lots of new features such as streetpass and spotpass.
4. Improved internet
5. Lots of features when you buy it
6. Lots of things that will take for ever to list
7. The 3DS is very cheep now, Don't bother Buying the DSi the 3DS is backwards compatable with all DS games,

Actually it can if your not careful! Many people have been saying the same thing about this topic your asking. I have the Nintendo 3DS but I don't even put on the 3D in the first place. I know better than hurting your eyes with a stupid piece of s**t like some people on this world Xd. C:

yes, apparently you cannot play it for over 3 hours otherwise you can get ill..

if you play on the 3ds for to long it will probably hurt your eye's , but if you play on it not so long it will be fine.

By the way you can turn the 3ds off to normal vision!
