Yes - and re-form - but over geological time measured in 1000s or 10s of 1000s of years. (The last glacial retreat of the present Ice Age is reckoned to have started about 12000 years ago.)
They originate as pieces of the ice caps and as the ice caps melt/climate warms they break off and melt, thus showing us what the climate is doing and how fast the earth is heating up due to global warming.
They could all disappear if the temperature of the earth rises enough.
alot of the earth land will be covered by water and there will be less landspace for people to live.
global warming
Mars also has two polar ice caps.
greenhouse
Melting of the ice caps Global warming causes the ice caps to melt. As they melt, the moving water corrodes at the remaining ice, speeding up the process.

If the polar caps continue to melt the Earth will most likely flood.
ice caps melt when it gets to hot and when they melt the sea rises i love Sophie Coleman 4eva

im can melt our polar ice caps and flood the earth maybe not the whole earth land but most for it. so treat the earth with respect or this will happen.RECYCLE
There is no indication that they will stop melting (technically, they really wouldn't stop even if the earth weren't warming). Much of the area of the ice caps has been observed to be accelerating in melt, in fact.
yes
If you put a ice at a sunny side not moving it, it will naturally melt into water not moving it's place just a puddle of water.

Earth has ice caps. And lots of dirt.
