Nope. Ignition well not work. The key you need is just a simple looking round key. In other words a 1995 Town Car has two keys one for the ignition, and door locks. And the second key is for the glove box and trunk.
my trunk latch won't work what could be wrog
Ignition lock out
by the light istself there is an ON/OFF switch.
In the trunk, up under the package shelf.
Usually the keypad code is located in the trunk of your car right on the bars that hold your trunk open
check your trunk on the drivers side there is a switch under the trunk carpeting on the trunk sidewall - that's how it is in my mark 8 1995
Squirt some WD-40 on the trunk mechanizm and that should do the trick, or maybe a loose wire.
inside the trunk. look for a little door on the left side i beleive.
look in the trunk on the left side that's where my 10 disk is
its on the trunk lid inside on the passenger side its a 4 digit number i believe
In the trunk, drivers side on the side panel.
My 1995 Ford Explorer has also done that occasionally ( although I have removed the ignition key as soon as I open the drivers door , the key in ignition chime starts " going " ) What I do is put the ignition key back in and then remove it again and the chime will stop Give that a try
