No, it does not go away. It only has the Pokeball there to say that you have the Pokedex entry for it. So if the Pokemon evolves, the little Pokeball will not go away.

if you want to catch a Pokemon here is the trick get the Pokemon's hp down to yellow or red and then trough a pokeball at it (and a certain type of Pokemon can be only caught by specific pokeballs) Hope this helped!

It doesn't work everytime but i find thid helps me. When you throw the pokeball rpidly press 'A' as fast as you can.
Poochyena cannot be caught in Pokemon Pearl. It's evolved form Mightyena however can be caught in Pokemon Diamond on Routes 214 and 215 with the Poke Radar.

I caught it with a "DuskBall". other neat Pokemon catches are when my friend got the 2 legendary dog Pokemon with great balls, the 3rd with an average pokeball. he also got the legendary birds. one with pokeball, the other with greatball, the 3rd with an ultraball.
