No, they do not.
Most players will not repay their last loan, which can be up to 500,000 doubloons to buy a Phoenix Warbird. Since the only penalty for not repaying an overdue loan is that you cannot buy a larger ship, you would not be affected at all.
You should always pay back a loan as soon as you can because you pay 5%interest for every "day" up to 20 days. However, since a "day" only passes when you leave one island and arrive at a different one, you can limit the number of days that pass as well (leave an island, collect salvage, and go back).
No but if you go over the set date for the loans it stops you from buying another ship
You could go out in the "High Seas" and destroy other pirates and kill creatures such as octopus, puffer fish, and that's pretty much it.
You repay the loan (in full only) at the same place you borrowed it. The loan officer is on the second floor of the bank, the far right at Golden Harbor.
The Loan Officer is upstairs at the bank at Golden Harbor, and will grant and collect repayment of loans (must be paid in full).

Collect the total amount of your loan (plus interest) and return to Golden Harbor to repay your loan. If you do not repay within 20 days (game time), you cannot buy another ship until you do. The exact amount of your loan is shown on your status monitor (icon at lower left).
There is no easy way. It can take probably a few days to finish this island i have been trying to beat this island for 3 months and there is not enough money! (PS you can get loans at the loan bank.)
No, but it saves time, especially when you need the really big boat (Phoenix Warbird), because you can borrow 500,000 doubloons once you have that many.
The item bag, upper right, displays the current inventory cards for the island you are on. Some can be selected to use, and others are automatically added or removed as you play. On Skullduggery Island, the ship icon (lower left) displays your game status: current ship type, days played, total doubloons, cargo currently loaded, and loan status if any.
Earn 500,000 doubloons then get a loan at Golden Harbor at the bank .Or you can as many as Grains as you can then sell it at Pirate Outpost until you get 1,000,000 doubloons.
You have to get a lot of doubloons to get the Phonix Warbird by beating other ships so you can get a lot of doubloons from them. When you have about 500,000 you can loan another 500,000 from the bank and buy the phonix Warbird and to beat him fast you chase him around skullduggery island and then when your on the side and captain crawfish is on the other and you are anchored then you have to shoot him repeatedly so you can beat him.
The loan officer grants and collects loans. She is on the second floor of the Golden Harbor Bank at Golden Harbor (all the way to the right side).
Yes, there is a reset button on the new header, in the same place as you adjust the settings. However, there is no advantage gained by starting over, unless you are too deeply in debt to get a new loan.
