It has some of the most realistic gore and blood that I have ever seen in a film. One of the selling points to this franchise is the hardcore showcase of violence and pain.

The last movie i saw was the proposal. it had my favorite actress and i saw i saw it over 30 times ! i saw it so much that i no half the movie word for word by heart
That would be the seventh film of the series, which was released as "Saw 3D".
I'm not 100% sure this is correct, since I wasn't in the movie. BUT I was in theater for a long time and what we did when there was a scene like that was put theatrical prosthetic "skin" on the persons arm to make it look like wasnt even there then make a cut in it and fill it with fake blood. That way when the person was cut, it would cut the fake skin and blood realistic looking blood.

yes, the blood, however, is not realistic. It is meant to be stylized. ---- The blood looks a little fake, but there's a lot of bone crunching and neck snapping too. Not to mention gruggling sounds.... It's a great movie though : )
