No, it is a spring gun.
You can oil the catch by taking the gun slide apart and oil the catch and the metal part on the slide.
The least costly airsoft guns are spring operated. You either pull back on the slide of a pistol or the cocking lever of a rifle like on the dual power (battery or spring) HK MP5. A compact-sized pistol starts at $10 at on-line retailers and they go up from there.
One in which the slide does not move when fired.
bang it on the ground
There might be a very high end airsoft pistol which a factory sight can be fitted to, but I'm a bit doubtful about it. With most of your airsoft pistols, the sights are part of the single piece moulding which the slide is made from - they're not like real factory sights, which are separate units that have to be tapped into place after manufacture.
you put the magazine into the butt of the pistol, then to charge the pistol pull the slide to the rear and let go or push down on the slide catch if there are no more rounds in the magazine.
A gunsmith can help you.
Pry off the slide. Undo the screw on the safety and remove. There may or may not be a pin but if there is, pop it out. I dont really remember what else but it should be pretty straight forward from here. Happy airsofting !
The steel used.
It is possible.
Check the slide
Only a few millimeters are necessary to free the slide from the lock.
