All mk3 mondeo's are chain driven even the 3.0v6 st220.
If it is a DURATEC engine the answer is no as it is chain driven. If it is ZETEC engine then yes it does have a cam belt.
The belt on a Mondeo TCDI Duratorq 56 plate is part of the timing chain/belt. The timing chain and belt should be checked at 100K miles. The belt and the chain work together in the running of the engine.
my 2002 has a chain.
timing chain
If the motor is an interference fit(usually 4cylinders are) a broken timing belt would bend the valves.
they have timing chains so never
You dont have it has a timing chain
chain
the 2002 mondeo 1.8 zetec has a chain not a belt
54000
The 3.3L engine has a timing chain....not a timing belt.... The 3.0L engine has a timing belt......
if your mondeo is a duratorq engine then it should have a camchain
