no she never even comes close to dieing well not really if you call laying in the mud out in the freezing rain of being thrown around close to dieing then yea she does come close to dieing.... That is in the anime. But in the manga Tohru almost dies because of a sudden landslide, and she is in the hospital for awhile with a serve head injury.
