The only way for a snake to pass it's venom onto you is if it bites you or sprays it;s venom on an open sore. If a snakes venom touches your skin, nothing will happen, even if it did secrete venom. So you can feel safe holding a snake, no matter how poisonous as long as you do not let it bite you. The only animals that are able to excrete toxins through it's pores are frogs and salamanders.
