Which are faster cold water molecules or hot water molecules?

Of course, hot water molecules, having more kinetic energy.

How does temperature increase or decrease?

Temperature is the average Kinetic energy of molecules in an object. A hot object has more kinetic energy and a cold object has less kinetic energy.

Why are water molecules more likely to escape from hot water then cold?

Hot water means the water molecules has attained energy from the temperature applied and hence their kinetic energy increases. Thus movement is possible for water molecules in hot water than cold water.

Which evaporates faster hot water or cold water?

Hot water. Higher temperature means more kinetic energy, and energy is needed to change phases from liquid to gas (evaporation.)

Does rock salt melt faster in hot or cold water?

Hot water, as hot water has more Kinetic Energy that increases of the rate of the rock salt being dissolved.

What Water molecules in ice have more kinetic energy that water molecule and vapor?

Is kinetic energy more than potential energy?

Both are forms of energy. Potential energy is the available energy that could be used and Kinetic energy is the energy actually being used. Think of Potential energy as being a high cliff with water on top. The higher the cliff the more energy available. If no water is falling though, there is noting being used, But the potential for falling water is still there. Kinetic energy is the water that actually falls.

Why will coffee powder dissolve quicker in warm water than In cold?

Coffee powder dissolves quicker in warm water than in cold water because the molecules in warm water have higher kinetic energy, which allows them to move faster and collide more frequently with the coffee particles. This increased collision rate leads to a faster dissolution process. In cold water, the lower kinetic energy of the molecules slows down the dissolution process.

Does dye travel faster through cold water or hot water?

Hot Water. Heat is the simple term for average kinetic energy. Thus, a warmer sample of water will have more kinetic energy (assuming the same mass). Therefore, the water molecules and anything that joins in with it will move at a faster rate. This perpetuates the spreading.

Why does warm water dissolve alker-seltzer faster?

Warm water dissolves anything faster. The molecules in water move at different rates depending on temperature. Cold water has closely packed molecules and in hot water the molecules are vibrating more and moving all around. They have kinetic energy which is the energy of movement which allows them to have more evergy and it can dissolve things faster such as when u stir sugar into water, the kinetic energy of stirring makes it dissolve more than just pouring it in.

Why does cold air push warm air?

Because cold air is more dense, and also contains less water vapour.

When particles in the air nove quickly is it warm or cold?

The faster molecules move, the more kinetic energy they have. Temperature is a measure of the kinetic energy. Therefore, molecules that move more quickly imply warmer air.
