Yes. Mold has to have moisture in order to grow. You don't see moldy croûtons, unless the bread used to make them was already moldy. If bread is placed in plastic bags when it is too warm, condensation forms on the inside of the inside of the bags and the bread tends to mold faster.
yes, but you need a bigger answer im actually doing this experiment in school at the moment and well it does I used medicence and on another piece of bread (same brand) I put water and well the results were very different. So yes the moisture does effect the growth of bread mold.
i think so... if you want to make the bread mold faster, dab it with water, put it in a sealed bag with all the air out and put it in the hotpress overnight and see if it works. that's what my friends did for a scifest project... (if it doesn't work, do the same again...)
The white or wheat breads grow mould the fastest. Moulding can be caused by two things which include the moist content of the bread and mould inhibitors or the preservation method used to store the bread.
Well it affects mold because the more mositure there is in bread the longer it lasts
Water affects the growth of mold on bread in a positive way for the mold. This is because mold grow best in moist environments.
Mold thrives in warm, damp spaces, therefore, the moisture would help the mold thrive.
It accelerates it
By looking at it.
Hand soaps and hand sanitizers prevent the growth of bread mold because bread mold is a bacteria and the PH level of soap and the alcohol in hand sanitizers can prevent the growth of the bread mold.
does the amount of light affect mold growth?
its nasty nd wet and it grows
Yes, because bread mold grows when the bread is moist, but when a food has salt on it the salt "sucks" the water up so it has a slower chance of the bread having mold. - Parksanity ( see me on my facebook.. go on the search bar on F book and search Parksanity!
sugar water, moist humid air, light and darkness.
Hypothesis
Moisture and warmth are ideal conditions for promoting mold growth on bread.
because when you leave bread outside of its package there are thousands of spores in the air that land on it so when you put water on it then the water kind of reproduces with the spores and then starts to grow the mold
Bread molds in well about 2 weeks I did some research on it and found out it actually molds in wetter damper and humider condions if your bread starts too mold it begins too spead every where so it is alway good too check your bread at least once a week or in two weeks but the bread doesn't mold as fast if you keep it in a freezer it molds in 5 too 6 weeks but if you let the bread sit out once you have taken it out of the freezer then the wet or dampness will affect your bread and eventually start too mold
put it on the refrigerator or freeze it
In the plastic bag - warmth and humidity will speed up the growth of mold
