Yes it does. I just installed WoW (+ Expansions) via the wotlk downloader.
"MCPatcher" is one that will install some of them. There is no one installer that will install all of them whether they be for Windows or Mac.
You need to purchase the original WoW and The Burning Crusade for the keys. You will not need those install discs, because WotLK includes the full game on the disc. The easiest way to get it is to purchase the game online and then download the installer. It will install everything up to the latest patch. Installing from the disc will take nearly as long as downloading the entire game, and then you will have to download all the patches separately. It will take FOREVER!!! Honestly though, unless you want to play Draenai or Blood elf, or be a jewelcrafter, there's no reason to purchase TBC until you hit 58. WotLK adds Inscription, so if you want that, you'll need to buy all three right from the start.
When you install the WoW Client from your battle.net account, it will install the full game. Once you start it for the first time, it will also download and install all required patches. Note that it is also possible to copy an existing WoW installation in its entirety from another computer to your laptop (meaning less time spent and your addon/macro settings remain intact) because the game does not entrench itself in the Windows Registry.
To install and play a wotlk server all you need is WoW + TBC + WotLK installed Find the server you wanna play and patch to their version Go to your WoW folder and find your realmlist in /data/enUS (file named realmlist.wtf) Replace the blizzard realm login to the IP of the realm you wanna play (you can get that from the server's page) Here's a link to good private server with a detailed guide: http://www.wowpk.org/wowpk-information/4-setting-up-wowpk-private-wotlk-server.html
Yes, the installer will allow you to both upgrade and format with a clean install in all cases.
No - all WoW addons require registration ($) and the previous addon: WotlK requires The Burning Crusade, The Burning Crusade requires a registered version of WoW.
Usually not unless they specifically say it does if it's used. If it's a brand new one then yes it does. It's not a start-up disk like a Windows set up. Apple used to have a MacOS installer disk and an Application installer disk to install all the original applications. Now it's all downloaded form the internet from their servers so there is no more installer disk. At least from Apple anyway, you can make your own once you download it.
yes.
To install Forge Mod Loader you install it like a normal mod, either manually of with an installer (I recommend MCPatcher) You can find manual installation instructions all over the internet
ArmadaBoost helps players in winning all the World of Warcraft WotLK challenges, achievements and tournaments including Obsidian Sanctum, The Eye of Eternity, Arena carries, Vault of Archavon, Ulduar carries, Naxxramas carries, Trial of Crusader, Icecrown Citadel, ETC.
Well, it's all about the account. If your account is upgraded with the code for WOTLK, then you NEED to play on a PC with the version having installed WOTLK. Although, you can play a TBC/Vanilla(Classic) account on a WOTLK upgraded version of WoW. Yes sir eee!
Just run the installer. Virtually all programs will run exactly the same, since Windows ME is very similar to Windows 98.
