NO it don't. The actuator is up on the front axel housing. Now the transfur case does have a switch on it that sends power to the actuator up front.
electric actuator (range selector)
If it is working it is OK, look elswhere for your problem, the transfer case might not be engaging but i can't help you with that.
It does not have one. It has a 4x4 Actuator in the front housing.
Yes it is.
Yes as long as your variables are the same as in same engine, transmission, 2 or 4 wheel, etc.
NO. It is all different
passenger side floor bord
Dexron. Automatic Transmission fluid
Need to check the front4x4 actuator on the front housing to see if its working. there is a switch on the top of the transfur case that sends power to the front actuator to ingage 4x4
It is located on the transfer case. It'll be on the drivers side of the transfer cas, right next to the front drive shaft, in about the middle of the vehicle! Good luck , it is a hard to get out!
It sounds like you need a new actuator. there is two things that lock in when you use 4x4. one is the transfer case and the other is the front diff. the front diff is turned on by an actuator. if you have a problem with the actuator the front axles wont lock in. even though the transfer case is engaged.
That year requires--------DEXTRON VI fluid.
