4l60, 4l60e ,700r4
It should be a 4L60E.
4L60E / 4L65E transmission.
Yes it will.
It comes with a 4L60E or 4L80E
The 89 does not have a 4L60E. The 4L60E wasn't used until 1993. The predecessor to the 4L60E was the mechanically controlled 4L60, which itself was just a rebadged 700R4. It will not be compatible with a 97 model year vehicle.
Call your local GM dealer with the seventeen digit vin number and they will be able to tell you. NEW ANSWER: Yours has a 4L60E in it. The 1/2 tons used the 4L60E and the 3/4 tons and up used the 4L80E. They quit using the 700R4 around 1991 ( I think ) The 4L60E and the 4L80E will not interchange due to the wiring harness and ECM / computer.
seems I'm answering my own question... turns out my 84 4x4 Jimmy with a 6.2 diesel and 700r4 trans runs the same 3.07 gear ratio as my 83 Sierra Classic 4x4 pick up with a 305 gas and 700r4 trans.
Yes
YES. If it is a 700R4 and is a 4x4 transmission. That truck came factory with a 700R4
will a 4l60e fit in 2002 suburban 4x4 1500
Yes. There's a slight possibility it might require the ECM to be reprogrammed, though.
