That actually depends. Does the gerbil look sick? Has it been acting strange lately? Does your child have an allergen to rodents? Is your child allergic to anything that might be in the food? If you answered yes, then I would suggest taking her/him to the doctor, just to be safe. If the gerbil looks fine, then no. I myself have been bitten by a gerbil, and I'm completely fine. I wouldn't worry about it, just put some disinfectant ointment on it, and I'm sure He/she will be okay. You can put a band-aid on it if you want, kids love band-aids. The gerbil might have just been scared or upset. Don't worry.
A gerbil basicly needs the same as a hamster but a bit more. I think it gose in a glass terarium with sand i think. But bascily a bit more then a hamster.
Depends about the dog and gerbil. You should bring your gerbil to a vet (if they do gerbils).
take him/her to the hospital
It is probably because it is dominant of its sister. If this gets much worse it might be an idea to separate them. My friends gerbil bit off its brothers tail... so... this is something you need to watch.
Yes this may happen if you make the gerbil bit you it will go away from the wind because it's cold or hot.
sure... if the hamster/ gerbil bit through your skin, then put some disinfectent and a band-aid on it. If you were bit, then leave the animal alone for a little while.
you should really take it to the vet. i don't think it is a good idea to put the injured gerbil back in the cage though.
no they can not if ur gerbil got bit by a spider i COULD lol
That would depend on the species of spider. If the spider is venomous, then one bite could require a hospital visit.
You put braceson the bit
It is not a good idea to feed your gerbil an orange for those who don't know.I would keep an eye on your gerbil and make sure he doesn't do it again. If your gerbil becomes snappy, woozy or less active take him to the vet's if your gerbil eats watery food it will get diarrhea
well, you cant make a gerbil go through a tube if he doesnt want to. you have to wait until the gerbil is comfortable with the tube in its presence, then he might explore it, but that could take a while. If you want the gerbil to go inside quicker though.. try putting a treat or two inside the tube, and make sure the gerbil knows they are there. Then the gerbil will go inside if he wants those treats. (just saying, he might wait a bit) once he is inside it once, he will probably go in again!! =D
