No. Very frequently they don't. The year end accounting process reviews and corrects for things claculated or estimated through the year....and many times there are things that either need to be trued up...or are included only at year end (like the taxability of some insurance coverages, or transportation coverage, or wierd things like imputed income from the availability of a company cafeteria, etc.). The W-2 is the one you need to use for tax, it is the one reported to the government(s). Any changes from what you were seeing on your check...you certainly should ask your employer about.

Stud? lol You will get a W-2 form from that employer. That is what you have to have... not just your last pay stub. Call and ask if they have it or if thy have mailed it. They use your last know mailing address. So, if you have moved, it may be lost.
