insert the key into the ignition, turn to the final stage before the engine turn. press and hold the door lock button, doors will lock and unlock, turn key back, remove and smile that you just saved yourself a lot of money
Either use the key fob to lock and unlock the doors or use the key to turn the ignition.
Get in car and shut the door turn key to position 2 you can see the marks near the ignition switch turn off radio so you can hear push the button to lock the doors hold till you hear a click noise, about 5-10 seconds after the doors lock turn ignition key to off position and remove key This setting should lock all doors at 9mph and unlock driver door when put into park.
put the key in the ignition turn the key to the second setting on the ignition lock (marked | )while in this position press the key to lock/unlock the car this resets the immobilizer and the central locking
1) Unlock or lock the doors by pressing the buttons on the remote -or 2) Turn on the ignition
Replace just the steering lock unit. The tumblers are old, and they need to be replaces. After replacing the lock, go to a locksmith, and have him re-key the doors to match your new ignition lock.
Open the door and in the lock itself is a keyhole. Insert your ignition key into the hole in the lock and turn a quarter turn. This will lock the child lock and obviously ,turn in the other direction to unlock. Rory
b4 paying out to have this done which vauxhall dealership will charge you either halfhour or an hour rate....plus a charge.... get in car close door put key in ignition and turn ignition so instruments light up (do not attempt to start) when in this position press the lock function on your keyfob doors should lock and then press the open button...door should unlock...turn off ignition take key out get out of car and try...... not guaranteeing this will work for your car but worked for my vectra 51 plate.......

change the Ignition Lock lock switch
1. Close the vehicle doors.2. Turn OFF the ignition.3. Remove the key from the ignition.4. Press and hold the driver side door lock switch in the UNLOCK position.5. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder and remove the key. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock cylinder.)6. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder and remove the key. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock cylinder.)7. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock cylinder.) Leave the ignition key in the ignition lock cylinder.8. Release the door lock switch. The vehicle will sound three beeps in order to verify the Program Mode has been activated.9. Press the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons together on the keyless entry transmitter and hold until the vehicle beeps twice to verify that the transmitter has been successfully programmed (this take approximately 15 seconds).10. Perform the previous step to program up to four transmitters (including your old ones).11. Remove the ignition key in order to exit the Program Mode
