Please list all the markings on the shotgun. Harrington & Richardson were producing hammerLESS double shotguns as far back as 1882. sales@countrygunsmith.net

I have a 12 gauge shotgun with the numbers 4041 on it. It has a double barrel and double trigger and hammerless. Could someone tell me what year it was made?

Do you mean a hammerless single-shot, double-barrel, slide-action...? sales@countrygunsmith.net

No external hammer to allow single action fire.

Not with just those markings. Provide a detailed description of all markings and maybe.

None are listed. Savage made a double that they may have sold to Wards. Mossberg and Noble also were suppliers. Check here for Wards listings http://www.gunnersden.com/index.htm.gun-cross-reference-index.html

It is only worth what the person buys it for...

Your serial number indicates that you have a Ithaca crass model double, that was made in 1903.

Need to know who made it and all markings on it to even begin to hazard a close guess.

what is a newera nitrohammerless #4012 model 1900 double barrel shotgun

The Crescent Arms "Empire Hammerless" double barrel (20 guage) is not a collectable gun, but is a "shooter". Thus, in shootable condition, it is worth about $200. That's what I paid for mine, strictly for bird hunting.

any one with information or pics on peerless 12 gauge double barrel hammerless with 272562

Any where from $250 to $550. Depending on the condition of the gun.

Hello I will need to know more info on it. Like what is marked on it? Hammer or hammerless? Grade? email me lefeverarms@yahoo.com Hammerless serial nr 55557

Several companies made shotguns with the Central Arms name for Shapleigh Hardware. From the markings you have given, I suspect it is a Stevens Model 5100 (look on the right side of the receiver for this number) hammerless double barrel manufactured between 1931 and 1941. If there are additional markings, like patent dates or model names, I could be wrong.

Look at the back of the breech. If there isn't a hammer, it's hammerless. Hammers are those things that stick up at the back of the barrel. On a single action gun you have to cock them (pull them back) before you pull the trigger. Pulling the trigger cocks and releases the hammers on a double action. All the firing mechanism is inside a hammerless gun.

I have one sitting here in my bedroom that belonged to my great grandfather and then my grandfather.
