RISE:

1) Kublai Khan united China.

2) The control imposed by the Mongols across all of Asia opened china to greater foreign contacts and trade.

3) Kublai Khan and his successors tolerated Chinese Culture and made changes to the system of government.

FALL:

1) The Yuan Dynasty was overthrown in 1368.

The emperors did not know how to rule the country and officials were very corrupt. A peasent uprising led by Zhu Yuanzhang caused the collapse of the Yuan Dynasty.

The Yuan dynasty fell because of heavy taxation. It also fell because of the four class system which was the legal Caste System during the Yuan dynasty.

The Yuan Dynasty fell because of all the taxation's from the emperor!! Also the ethnic classes were part of the problem as well. Those were the main two causes.
