Drivers side of 99 Chevy Silverado wont unlock at times repeated activations will not unlock and at times key has hard time unlocking it is this a lock rod problem or a lock problem?

Remove the inside door panel and inspect what's going on in there. Could be bent linkage or just in need of lubrication. Sometimes when someone tries to "slip stick" the door lock, the linkage gets bent in there.
