I don't know what model you are working on, but my EGR on a f250 is along the firewall high to the left of center. Good luck.
Many Ford Rangers of this decade did not have EGR valves. If the vehicle in question does have one, it will be located on the upper intake manifold.
The Ford expedition 4.6 liter engine EGR sensor can be found on the back of the air cleaner housing. The EGR sensor should be labeled as such.
The EGR valve, on a 2004 Ford F150 5.4 liter engine, is located on the top of the engine near the back. The valve is difficult to identify without prior mechanical knowledge.
Yes, it does have an EGR valve.
I was looking on fordparts.com at the 2004 Ford Ranger with the 3.0 liter V6 engine and it doesn't list an EGR valve for the 3.0 liter like it does for the 4.0 or 2.3 liter
egr valve location on a 1997 ford ranger 23l
On my 1995 Ford Explorer , also with the 4.0 liter OHV , V6 engine , has the EGR valve mounted just to the left of the engine oil dipstick ( when looking into the engine compartment from the drivers side , it is lower down and has a round shaped top )
The 7.3 diesel does not any EGR! i said 6.0
it is part of the egr valve
Above the alternator. A tube runs from the top of the EGR valve to the top of the intake manifold.
on the intake manifold near the throttle body
on engine manifold
