Yes.LDS (Mormons) believe in the Bible. Therefore they believe that Jesus is the Son of God.Also the LDS Church has 'Articles of Faith' and the first one reads, "We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost." (LDS - Articles of Faith, No. 1)
Yes and no. My parents were converts to LDS church and essentially I was raised in the faith and came to realization through prayer and through study that the LDS church is true. As I've gotten older, I have studied some of what the critics have stated in regards to my faith. I have found many of the arguments lacking. Consequently there is little difference between members who have been raised in the church and those who convert later on in life as both must study the faith and become converted within their hearts.
Joseph Smith, Jr. did not found Mormonism. The Prophet Joseph Smith, Jr. is credited with starting "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints". The year that the LDS Church was offically organized was in 1832. (LDS Church Chronology 1805-1914, by Andrew Jenson, page 4.)

Prophet Joseph Smith. Without him, there would be no LDS movement that proclaims itself Christian, because Joseph Smith said so. LDS is the abbreviation for "Latter-Day Saints", which is part of the official name of the church, "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints". The church was founded in 1830 by Joseph Smith and 5 others in upstate New York. It has grown to now have more than 13 million members worldwide. Does that answer your question or is there more I can answer for you?

If you are referring to the famous [in the LDS church] painting of Joseph Smith, It was done by an unknown painter in 1842, two years before Joseph's death.
I don't know why you asked that question. "LDS" means "Latter Day Saints" and refers to anyone who is a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or LDS church. That is pretty self explanatory. So the LDS were ALWAYS allowed in the LDS church because the LDS church is made up of only LDS people. Duh.
Sharing one's faith is an essential part of the LDS faith. The Bible says to preach the gospel to every creature (see Mark 16:15) and Latter-day Saints take this charge very seriously.
To flee persecution from mobs in Illinois. After the murder of Joseph Smith, Jr. & his brother Hyrum in 1844 mobs attacked LDS homes and communities near Nauvoo, Illinois, burning homes and threatening the LDS people. After a period of time the LDS people gathered together and migrated westward until they settled in Utah in 1847.

The knowledge of Mary as the Mother of Jesus Christ is not a matter of faith in the LDS religion, it is a fact, Mary carried Jesus Christ and gave birth to him. The LDS faith does not however practice a worship of Mary, she is considered a normal human woman, who was choice among all other women of her time and was worthy to bear the Son of God. She was married to a man, Joseph. After the birth of Christ she went on to bear the children of her husband. She did not remain a virgin all her life. Members of the LDS church do not pray to Mary. There is no belief that praying to her will incur any special favor of the lord nor that she has any divine powers of her own to grant blessings. Christ was her savior as well as ours. The LDS faith practices worship of God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
