REAL emo was originated in the 80's. It ended in the late 90's. THen from 2000 to the present, a bullcrap, fake version of the emo genre has been mass market. That mass marketing is the only reason we have stupid emo kids running around. Old school emo music was unique. The new crap isn't. It's just suicidal pop.
